Faqs
-
Do you only work with parents? No, I work with adults around various issues, including identity issues, relationships difficulties, family conflict, depression, etc, which is not only related to parents.
-
Do you offer free consultation?Yes, I offer a free 15 minute consultation via telephone or via zoom. You can book an appointment here
-
What happens before our first session together?I will send you an email with my assessment and agreement form, which goes into further detail about confidentiality, cancellation procedures, and data protection. Also, if you choose to have video call sessions, I will send you a Zoom link, which remains the same for each of our sessions together. It may be useful to check that your internet connection is working ok to ensure that they are minimal issues once we start. If either of us are experiencing any connectivity issues, we may have to change to either a video call via Whatsapp or a telephone call. Lastly, have a think about what you may do after our sessions as sometimes you may feel quite exhausted or emotional, so things like having a break before you go back to work mode or dealing with the children would be beneficial (this is also for all sessions).
-
How often will we meet?Sessions are weekly, and usually take place at the same time and day each week. Each session lasts up to 50 minutes, which means if you arrive late for your session, we will still have to end at our agreed time.
-
Do you offer bi-weekly sessions?Yes, however, I always recommend starting off with weekly sessions for at least 6 sessions to help build our working relationship and then we can review the frequency of sessions together.
-
Are you seeing clients face to face? No. Since last year I have exclusively moved my practice online. You can find out information about online therapy here
